Probably the Best Weekend Ever.

This week I didn't see Danny much.  He worked everyday, except last Sunday, making his work week some where between long and forever. Almost 75 hours of work in one week.  He was pretty excited to have some time off and I was pretty excited to actually see him in real life.
I wasn't the only one happy to see this dirty daddy.

She is a total daddy's girl:)
The Hughes Family was nice enough to give us tickets to the BYU game Friday night.  I haven't been to a game in a while and we have really been wanting to go.
Roman, Michelle, Danny and I dropped off the babies, snagged some dinner and then headed to the game.
TOUCHDOWN!
I have never had such great seats in my life. We were on the 20 yard line just up from the players!  I had a great shot of the Cougarettes and Cheerleaders, which is my favorite part of the game.  They even danced, "Gangham Style!"  Loved it.
By the way, the Cougs killed Hawaii.
Yay for a fun date night!
Also this weekend, I finally found shoes that fit Pearl's square feet!  Who knew they would come from the Disney store.  I'm a little worried they are actually shoes for a teddy bear or something.   But teddy bear shoes or not, I found little Oxford shoes that fit my child's unusually wide feet.  Pretty exciting.
Saturday we headed to Thanksgiving Point to see Utah's Biggest Pumpkins!

They were seriously huge.  I wondered ahead of time how they move these beastly vegetables from point A to point B.  They had to move them with a crane!  They would put them in this harness and the crane would set them on the scale.
*Just for the record I totally see why Cinderella's Coach was transformed from a pumpkin.  The winner was almost as big as Roxanne's car!
This is Millie with this year's winner.  It weighed 1,455 lbs!  Before they picked it,  it was growing 50 lbs a day!  I just can't believe these things.  It made me really want to grow some pumpkins next summer.  If I can even grow a normal sized pumpkin I'll be stoked.
Next Saturday, the winners will hollow out their pumpkins, put a man with 2 oars inside and race across a lake!  You don't believe me?  I didn't believe it either.  For further proof click here.
I hope we can make it to that it sounds very entertaining.
The fam grabbing some food at the Cafe.

How old are we?

And to top off our awesome weekend we ended our night with Sushi?  Sweet love.
Why can't every weekend be like this??

Mom/McGonagall Bun

Remember how some people are beautiful and have really cute buns of clean hair on top of their heads?

I don't.
Lately I have felt like I've been rocking the "Mom/McGonagall" bun more than I'd like to admit.  My bun is not cute.
My hair has been really long for most of my life.  I never wanted to cut it because I swear once someone has kids, chop goes the hair.  It's almost like having long hair, for a mother, is taboo. I swore that would never be me.  I can now see why moms do it though.  Short hair is fast and easy.  Not to mention so cute, just not on my round face.  I have always been a long hair gal.  Long hair can be pretty, but it is a lot of work.  Like... a lot of time and work. I am still trying to find the perfect daily routine of exercising, getting fully ready for the day, keeping my house clean, as well as taking care of Millie and Pearl.  In order to save some time, I decided I needed to chop some hair.  I called on the help of Stephanie, my sister in law.  She happens to live right below me and is a hairdresser... Awesome!  So Pearl sat in her walker eating Cheerios while Stephanie went to work.
I'm always worried by how much hair I see drop to the floor.  I don't know why I'm so weird, does anyone else do this?  It's like I think my hair has super power or something?  It's just stupid hair!  It will grow back!  After the cut, I nervously swept up a few dustpans FULL of my hair.

I didn't get a before pic of my hair because honestly I don't need one.  McGonagall is perfect.
I kept it long, but it is way faster to blow dry now! I really love it.
Cheers to attempt #1 at doing my hair everyday.

P.S.  Don't get me wrong, I love Professor McGonagall and hold her in the highest of respects.  I just don't want her hair.

AnnaBelle's First G.D.O.

AnnaBelle turned 10 this month.  I can't believe how grown up she is.  Isn't she so pretty?
She is really starting to get into clothes and accessories.  She already has her own little style and I love it. We decided we better have our first girl's day out to celebrate her birthday and go shopping.
We drove up to South Towne Mall because they have a kid's section in their Forever 21.  We had SO much fun looking through all the cute, stylish, little clothes.  AnnaBelle was probably wishing she hadn't came with after about the fifteenth outfit we made her try on.  She just looked so cute in everything!
Anna and Rox sporting their new shirts.

After shopping we went to Chili's for lunch and of course Molten Chocolate Cake.  It was such a fun day and hopefully the start of a new tradition.
Happy Birthday Anna!  To check out her new blog click here.

Well Basically, We Had a Good Summer.

Since Summer is officially over I decided I'd hurry and post some pics of some fun Summer moments I wasn't able to blog about.
Millie and I spent a lot of fun hours together.
Pearl went to her first Rodeo.
We got together with some friends.
We said bye to Lily.  She moved to New Jersey to be the best flight attendant in the world!
Proof that our yard had flowers in it the first half of Summer.

Cary, Pam and Rick helped us trim the dead branches off all our giant trees,  It was a big job!  We took over 7 Palomino truckloads of dead branches to the dump!
We enjoyed some sun.
We enjoyed some cake.

We enjoyed some entertainment.  Beetle tested Brutus' electric fence for us.
It works.
Ricker and Cher celebrated 38 years of marriage!  They are still cute as ever.
Pearl went to Seven Peaks and the PG Pool for the first time.
We went up the Canyon and had S'mores.

Pearl enjoyed our tradition of Pancake Sunday.
We had some fun times with our cousins.
Oh, hey Brig.
Ages 4-7 months must be the peak for babies to shove anything and everything into their mouth.  Every single one of these cuties is sucking on something.
Looked at clouds.
We took lunch to the park.

Happy Summer Everyone!  Hope it was great.
Sad to see Summer leave but we're really excited for Fall.  I started working on our Halloween costumes this week and I'm pretty excited:)
