Should've Been

We should've been in California. We should've been digging our feet into the warm Cali sand, getting more freckles, playing with Rang and Sara's California cuties and shopping at the World's biggest Yard Sale with Rocky and Sarah. We should've been, but were not. Why you ask?

(let's just pretend you asked)

The Silver Fox started acting up, dripping from places it shouldn't drip, so we took it into the shop...

$750 later... and our Cali Moola is spent. Boo.

Danny and I hardly ever have SATURDAYS off, let alone together, and we were so excited to take a trip before summer school started. So we decided to enjoy the Sunny weather that has finally decided to show its face in Utah County again. Hallelujah and Amen.

We started Friday night off at THEE best Party Spot in Utah, Ricker and Cher's, for a quality Bonfire.
AnnaBelle making up a special treat for Grandpa Ricker. I believe its called Flaming Death.

*Notice: Toasted Coconut Marshmallows are a definite must at any bonfire.

I got cute pictures of everyone but there isn't room for everyone on this post. I have to blog on behalf of Millie and Roxanne to ensure everyone knows they're still alive. I thought this pic was cute.

Cher is a good sport. Stitch thinks he's a 40 lb. lap dog.
(This pic is for all my animal haters out there. I dont know how so many ended up in one family?)

The next morning we found ourselves at Daylight Donuts getting some energy to start our Yard Sale-ing. Tis the Season!!! My favorite season I might add.

If you're ever at a Polynesian Yard Sale and you cant seem to find Ricker or Danny, I'll give ya one hint....

You can guarantee that they have made friends with a hefty man grilling riblets and kalua pork listening to Bob Marley... And they did.

Danny and Ricker happy as can be with their "Golden Tickets."

And we wonder why we're fat?

My yard sale finds for the day. I got that little painting for .50 cents, the boots for a buck and the brand new camera case (with lock combo and compartments for my different lenses) for $5.00. I was happy. One successful yard sale filled morning and hopefully many more to come.

Oh and another one for my animal haters:) Boldie broke a personal record for sleeping with his tongue out of his mouth.
Old record: 2 inches New Record: 3 inches!!!

We ended our day with taking our dogs on a hike and watching the sun go down. It was a beautiful night, we loved it! It was definitely no Cali and we miss Rangi & Co. so much but it actually turned out to be a fun weekend. As long as it doesn't snow again I think we'll be happy in Utah for a while!

Monday With Millie

Today we get to babysit Millie! Doesn't she look thrilled?
The weather is so nice we decided to go for a walk. Doesn't Danny look like a natural? He will be such a great dad:)
Mills and I. Once again...thrilled.
We painted her cute little toes! She was so good and sat patiently while I painted. She loved when I would blow them dry.
Millie is trying so hard to walk. She loves when you hold her hands and help her walk around.
Just in case any of you were wondering... her eyelashes CONTINUE to grow!

We Love Millicent:)

Macro Fun

The weather has been so beautiful the last couple of days. Danny and I cant get enough of it! So we pulled out my Macro Lens, that I have only used a couple of times, and had some fun. I know Dandelions are weeds but I think they're kind of beautiful.
An up close of my unruly red hair.

Popcorn Poppin' on the Apricot Tree!

Danny's Eye looking a little freaky. I still like this shot. Our kids WILL have white eyelashes... it's a given.
The focus was supposed to be on my eye but Danny got the lashes instead. I like it! Guess we were having too much fun, I didn't have time to put mascara on:) Like I said, our kids WILL have Albino eyelashes.
Does this one remind anyone of Honey I shrunk the Kids ?
Yay for Spring!

9 Projects Under $4.23

In my history of shopping my motto has always been "Quantity over Quality." I think I inherited this from the Ricker who is always wheelin' and dealin' to get a bargain. I never thought to shop any other way, that was until I met my husband who has had to deal with my ridiculous amount of clothes. Its true I can NEVER pass up a good deal, even if Im not in love with my purchase. My defense was, even if I wear it once I get my money out of it right?? Well that is usually what happens I wear it once and then hold on to it FOREVER. Danny is trying to break this terrible habit. His motto is if you really like something save your money and buy it. I have been attempting to adopt this principle lately. I am proud to report I was doing good until recently Roxanne and I found something too good to pass up.

A few weeks ago Roxanne and I were at Old Navy when we noticed a lot of cute shirts for dirt cheap. The only set back was they were all sizes XL and XXL. I asked Rox, "What can we do with these? They are just SO cheap??" She told me to "Keep walking" so I tried to forget about them. We kept looking around, but the whole time those shirts were in the back of my mind taunting me to buy them. Persuading questions kept entering my mind, "What if you gain weight soon?" or "What if you ever get Prego? These shirts could be very comfy." Before long I was back at the shirts picking out my favorite colors and patterns. I have taken in men's shirts to wear to work before, Who said these were any different? So I had made up my mind...I would take in the shirts. So I bought nine of them:) Eeeeee.
Now that I had 9!!! projects to work on, it was clear my work was cut out for me. I have had the nastiest cold and decided I was sick of my homework and wanted to work on something else. By the way, sewing is great if you're stuck inside:) So in about 2 hours I was done with my pretties. I am really excited with how they turned out.
I even had some left over fabric to do some pinwheel roses. Cute huh?
Boldie had to be in the next two pictures:)
Cute huh? Now I just need to find a place to put them!

So now you all know my boring story of how I got myself into 9 projects for only $4.23. I guess its okay to have a relapse every now and then:)

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!
My Easter basket from Danny. Notice the sidewalk chalk that I am SO excited about!
Danny knows I love surprises. I woke up and walked into our front room to find eggs all over the place... He had prepared my own little treasure hunt!

Another treasure for me to open:)

Danny & I have been trying to eat healthier so I told him I didn't want any candy this Easter. So inside of all the eggs were little "coupons" for different things I like. The coupon showing here was a $5 dollar bill to use at the Dollar Store. If any of you know me, you know this is right up my alley. It was such a perfect surprise.

Our cute landlords are so sweet. They left a little Easter treat on our doorstep Easter Morning. See's is the Best!

Sleepy Cute Dan with some of his Easter Presents, some "Springy" shirts.

Did I mention I love conference? It was amazing. We watched the morning session with Ricker and Cher while munching on our eggs we dyed the night before. Something funny actually happened to Ricker. He THOUGHT I was trying to sabotage him but it was clearly a mistake. Some how someone last night dyed an egg that HADN'T been hard boiled yet...
Yeah, it was a HILARIOUS mess.

These are some of Cher's cute decorations. I know I have said this on pretty much every holiday blog entry, but seriously, My mom decorates SO CUTE. I love her style. She always knows just what to put where and what will compliment each other.

happy easter everyone!

Eastersss Egg Partay

Los Gs got together Saturday Night to celebrate Eastersss Nacho Libre Style by dyeing "Eagle Eggs." We had a contest to see who could dye the best egg. We got down to the "Nitty Gritty" and some pretty sweet eggs came of it.

Some of the Los Gs with their eggs.
Heather with her "Nacho" inspired Egg. Her egg was known to say, "Don't you know I've had Diarrhea since Easterss?"

Every Los Party has to have the Communal Bubbly:)

And the Winner of the contest...."Le Bus" By Rick James Elder. It was a definite crowd pleaser especially since we went on the Fun Bus just last weekend! (Sorry for the dark quality of all the photos. Our apartment has terrible lighting, especially at 1:00 am)

I love dan.
